How to use this resource?

Prerequisites

  • Airtable, with Creator / Owner permissions, a plan that supports Run a script and available automation runs. This action is unavailable during a Team trial.

  • ChatGPT or Claude connected to Airtable MCP. Follow our connection guide if needed.

Install with your assistant

Extract the ZIP received by email. Attach automation.js to ChatGPT or Claude connected to Airtable, then paste the entire installation-prompt.txt into the same message.

Choose an existing base or a new base. Review the proposed plan: your assistant reuses compatible fields and prepares two draft automations, for record creation and identifier updates.

Start in a test base. The plan identifies the legal and address fields that enrichment will update.

Review and enable

Open both automations provided by your assistant. Check the table, watched field and conditional actions. Test the trigger and script using a test record, then review field mappings before testing Update record: that action performs a real write.

Follow the PDF guide, then enable both automations in your test base.

Existing records are not processed automatically when you enable the automations.

Enter your client's identifier

Create a test record and paste a known public SIREN to get the legal name and registered office address. Replace it with a verified SIRET to get that establishment's address. Enrichment also works when another tool supplies the identifier.

Compare with the French business directory, then try ABC: the result reports an error and previous business values remain.

Let each run finish before changing the identifier. Check the result and address before using them on a quote or invoice.
