Context, Objectives & Solution

REF Bikes designs and assembles modular bikes, with customer orders to produce, components to track, inventories to secure, and shipments to prepare.

Too much scattered information between stock, production, and customer orders

Customer orders that are difficult to link clearly to production references, available components, and scheduled shipments.

Setting up stock tracking: available, missing, in the process of being replenished, needed, and feasible quantity.

Little visibility into what needed to be ordered, produced, inspected, or shipped.

Mission objectives

Centralize the tracking of customer orders, references, inventory, and production.

Ensure the reliability of supply needs before launching production.

Better connect production, quality control, shipping, and customer delivery.

What we have concretely put in place

1

Structuring inventory and supply tracking

Creation of a product repository with references, variants, components, families, sizes, colors, and options.

Setting up stock tracking: available, missing, in the process of being replenished, needed, and feasible quantity.

Creation of purchasing management with supplier orders, order details, expected dates, and partial receipts.

2

Link customer orders, production, and shipments

Creation of a customer order tracker with quantities to be produced, in production, produced, to be shipped, and delivered.

Implementation of production tracking with status, reference, customer, quantity, product IDs, and quality defects.

Structuring of shipments with status, delivery type, quality control, tracking, and delivery date.

Impact & Result

REF Bikes now has a centralized system to manage its operations: customer orders, inventory, procurement, production, quality control, and shipping. The team gains visibility on what can be produced, what is missing, and what needs to be shipped to the customer.

We felt like we were always improvising and wasting time on details. HyperOps helped us structure our processes simply, and today, we manage the business with more clarity and anticipation.
